About me...

My name is Lars Munk, I was born 1981 in Denmark. August 2000 I moved to Iceland where I worked and lived for nearly three years. 2003 I moved to Sweden, where I still live most of the year. To travel around is a big part of me and my way of living, and is there anything more exciting than discovering new waters and cultures? I have been a fisherman for the most of my life. Since I was four or five my father to me out to the small streams in the western part of Jutland, Denmark. I got my first fly rod when I was about eight and i caught a few good fish on that rod, but it was still spinn fishing after pike that ment the most to me at the time. But after my first summer in Iceland with a fly rod, I was sold... Since then it has been full throttle! 2004 I graduated as a fishing guide at Tornedalens FHSK. July 2005 I even graduated as a fly casting instructor by the FFFE, today known as the EFFA. After the education I have worked as a guide and casting instructor a few different places. The summer 2004 and 2005 I worked at Kultsjögården i Saxnäs, where they have some of the finest arctic char fishing, in all of Sweden, in the famous Ransar river. The summer 2006-2009 I was imployed at Kengis Bruk AB to develop the fishing on some of the 54 km. of private river they got. During the autum 2006/07 I was guiding on the river Tweed in Scotland/England. I worked on lower north Wark and south Wark for miss J. Lovett. During 2009 I started my own company and I'm now working with salmon fishing in the Torne- and Lainio River. And a bit of Grayling and trout fishing i Swedish Lapland.
